The Minister of Home Affairs has on Thursday the 22nd May signed the Immigration Regulations which will empower the Immigration Amendment Act 13 of 2011 to take effect.

These new regulations represent a significant shift in the landscape of South African immigration law. Applicants are strongly advised to take note of the procedural changes regarding the submission of applications and the updated requirements for various permit categories.
